Our Goal

All children are ready to learn
and experience success in school.

Trinity County's School Readiness Program, Coordinated by the Trinity County Office of Education, offers school readiness services at the following sites:

  • Burnt Ranch
  • Coffee Creek
  • Cox Bar
  • Hayfork
  • Hoaglin-Zenia
  • Hyampom
  • Van Duzen

Hayfork Valley Elementary, a previous Improving America's School Act (IASA) school-wide site, is Trinity County's first priority site. The other school communities have been identified as second priority sites based upon the following special factors:

  • No preschool services
  • Poverty (all have more than 50% children on free/reduced meal program)
  • Geographically-isolated
  • LImited services available
  • Underserved American Indian population
