In response to the recent Pertussis (Whooping Cough) epidemic in California, Assembly Bill 354 was passed and signed into law. This new law requires all students entering 6th grade in 2021-13 to receive the Tdap (Pertussis) booster shot. Please call your family doctor or the Trinity County Health Department at 623-8209 to make an appointment before school starts in August.

REMINDERS: Transportation changes are to be done in writing by sending a note to school in the mornings. Please do not call changes in. When dropping off or picking up children at the bus stops please pay extra attention to children who are boarding or exiting the bus. Parents need to be at the Shasta College stop at 8:05. This is such a busy stop that we want to avoid people arriving in a hurry at the last minute and endangering children who are waiting for the bus. For the same reason, we are asking people not to back up until the bus has loaded and left - you never know if there might be a small child standing behind your car and out of your line of vision. Please do not park in the red zone in the parking lot as that results in the buses being blocked and unable to pull out of the parking lot. Vehicles that are dropping off or picking up students should use the yellow loading zone and vehicles parked in the yellow loading zone are not to be left unattended. Children are to use the sidewalk and are NEVER, NEVER, NEVER to run across the parking lot as cars are always coming and going.

Mrs. Clark, Mrs. Harris and Mr. Belongia will be taking their students to the Trinity Alps Performing Arts Center on Tuesday, February 7 for a chamber music performance. They should return to school by 11:30. On Friday, February 10 Wild Things will be held in the school gym from 12;40 - 1:40. This educational display of wild animals is sponsored by the Logging Conference. Students will be asked to sit quietly on the gym floor in order to keep the animals from becoming nervous or frightened.

We want to thank all of our generous parents and students who have donated clothing to our school clothes closet. We currently have more than we need which is a wonderful position to be in - the one thing we can always use and are always accepting are pants with elastic waists especially in the 5-7 year old range. Thank you so much for thinking of us!
